About Me

It all began with Big Bird.

As a child, I was surrounded by creative people… one of my grandfathers did paintings, and charcoals, and pottery. Another grandfather was a photographer, and musician, and radio personality. My mother crocheted, and knitted, cross-stitched, and calligraphied. Our home was always filled with creations of all kinds.

My first major contribution to the art world, was when I won a context hosted by our local Furr’s Cafeteria. As they handed me a stuffed Big Bird that was almost as big as me, I remember them commenting on how neatly I’d colored in the lines.

I pursued art all through my teen years, but as an adult I fell away from. I’d come back and make a stab here and there, but this is my first proper go of it. I’ve wanted to be real bonafide artist for as long as I can remember… this is my year.
